Yesterday, Asa and Ellori were playing upstairs while I was picking up downstairs. They were supposed to be down for a nap, but I found out later that they were fighting over pantry smuggled Scooby snacks. This is what happens when two little people want the same Scooby snack; one hits the other in the forehead. I'm fairly certain that foreheads are a a bit harder than eye sockets. Then today, after stealing his sister's baby doll (you don't wanna mess with the girl's baby dolls) she turned to chase him down and he smacked into the edge of the table. OUCH huh?
** side notes** (as to how cute kids are). Two nights ago Asa was lying in bed with Randy when he said, out of the blue, "If I do get married, I want it to be for love". Do any of you mother's of 3 year olds know where that line came from?
And on the morning after we celebrated Thanksgiving, when the kids got up to go play, my mother instructed them to sit down and tell her what was going on in their lives, what was new etc.... She was attempting to make a point that family meals are not just for filling our tummies, but for connecting with one another as well. She started with Asa..... and asked what was going on in his life. He responded with a sigh, and then said, "My life ...is kind of .... messy.....right now." Doesn't that just about sum it up for some of us. We all laughed hysterically.
